We have been in one place for 6 weeks. Its time to travel again. Grin.
Headed to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons to see the fireworks show of leaves, hear the elk bugling and enjoy the change of season. The last time we were there (exactly 3 years ago to the week) the girls were 11 and 13; the three of us were on our epic field trip for school (make sure to click "older posts" at the bottom of each page so you can see all the pages of pics on the link). They are SO excited to be going back! Honestly, I am too.
We will be camping again, even though the night temps are below freezing…brrr. (They were when we were there before as well). We actually slept in the car two nights when we were there last time because there were so many bears in our campground. One morning before dawn, not sleeping well sitting up in the driver seat, I decided to drive us all away from our campsite, the girls still sleeping, down to the meadow to see the elk come to the Snake River for the morning. It was beautiful beyond words…quiet fog, wildlife, sunrise. They still talk of that morning.
Doug has never been to Yellowstone so Im excited to see things through his eyes.
Its such a wild place.
